A Story About a Garden Where Old Things Are Given Another Life
I want to tell you a story about how old things are given another life in my dear friend’s garden on Saaremaa.
At the home of an artist and a fisherman, reuse comes naturally.
Old kitchen tools, worn metal objects, broken ceramics, stones, a wheelbarrow and even an old rowing boat have found new purposes among flowers, herbs, strawberries and birds.
Nothing is restored to perfection or made to look new. Time is allowed to remain visible, and every object becomes part of the garden in its own way — useful, beautiful and still carrying something of its former life.
