Antique Open Frame Weaving Shuttle – A Loom Story from My Grandmother’s Hands

This wooden shuttle is made of one piece of wood. Shuttles are made by hand, so actual lengths may vary.
They all have a metal or wooden stick and a hole on one side or on bottom to allow the weft yarn to glide out into the weave. In the old days instead of a stick in that place they put a duck or goose feather.

The wood of all is lovingly worn and perfectly smooth.
