Antique wooden box, known as a “vitsik”, is a traditional oval or round bentwood container handcrafted from a single thin strip of wood (usually aspen or spruce), with the base and lid secured using small wooden pegs or natural fibers.
These boxes were made in Estonian homes as early as the 19th century, often as part of everyday farm craftsmanship.This original vintage bentwood vitsik is available in two sizes. It makes a beautiful rustic accent for your home – ideal for natural displays or practical storage. Fill it with moss and a handful of spring flowers.
