Vintage Coronet Fildia box camera
Vintage Coronet Fildia Box Camera – Made in France – 1940s–1950s Medium Format Camera
A wonderful original Coronet Fildia vintage box camera, manufactured in France by Tiranty under the Coronet name.
Dating from approximately the 1940s to early 1950s, the Fildia is a classic medium-format box camera with a distinctive geometric front plate and beautifully aged black textured covering.
The camera is fitted with an Objectif Meniscope Tiranty fixed-focus lens and was designed for 120 roll film, producing large 6 × 9 cm photographs. The two small viewfinders on the front allow the camera to be composed in both portrait and landscape orientation.
The original French controls are still visible on the front plate: FILTRE, POSE, DIA and DECL, adding wonderful graphic character to the camera.
Today, this is a beautiful collectible piece of photographic history — perfect for a vintage camera collection, photography studio, office, library or shelf display, and especially attractive as a photography prop.
The camera shows authentic signs of age and use, including surface wear, marks and wear to the edges and covering, all contributing to its original vintage character.
The camera has not been tested and is sold as a collectible/decorative vintage item.
