Vintage Kodak Six-20 Popular Brownie Box Camera – 1930s–1940s English Film Camera
 
A wonderful original Kodak Six-20 Popular Brownie box camera, dating from approximately the late 1930s to early 1940s.
 
This classic black box camera was made by Kodak Ltd. in England and was designed to use 620 roll film, producing large approximately 6 × 9 cm photographs. The simple box construction, textured black covering and circular lens surround give it the unmistakable character of early everyday photography.
 
The front is clearly marked “SIX-20 POPULAR BROWNIE – TAKES 620 KODAK FILM.” Two reflecting viewfinders allow the photographer to compose photographs in both portrait and landscape orientation. The model was fitted with a simple meniscus lens and shutter — a beautifully straightforward design from the era of early amateur photography.
 
Today it makes a wonderful collectible for a vintage camera collection, photography studio, office, library or shelf display, as well as an atmospheric photography prop.
 
The camera is in authentic vintage condition with visible signs of age and use, including surface wear, marks and wear to the edges and covering. These details are part of its original character and history.
 
The camera has not been tested and is sold as a collectible/decorative vintage item.
