Cupping was a widely-used method in the treatment of flu and cold illnesses.
In a typical cupping session, glass cups were warmed using cotton balls, which were soaked in alcohol, lighted, then placed inside the cup. Burning a substance inside the cup removes all the oxygen, which creates a vacuum. The practitioner then places the cups on the patient's back 3 cm apart for 10-15 minutes. This is believed to open up the skin's pores and draws toxins out of the body.
These medical banks are always very popular in home decorating.
If you have several vases you can place them in small groups or use them as cover decorations on the table when you're expecting guests.
