Vintage Grey & Pink Pottery Vase and Large Mug
 
Beautiful vintage pottery in a wonderfully unusual combination of deep grey and soft dusty pink.

These substantial ceramic pieces have simple, sculptural forms and a beautiful glossy glaze. The exterior appears charcoal grey with subtle mauve undertones, while the soft pink glazed interior creates an unexpected contrast. The handmade-looking, slightly irregular forms add plenty of vintage character.

The Tall Vase has an elongated, gently shaped body with a small curved handle and slightly flared opening. Its simple silhouette works beautifully with fresh flowers, but the vase is equally attractive displayed on its own.

The Large Mug is a generously sized and remarkably substantial piece, approximately the size of a large beer mug. Its cylindrical body, large curved handle and contrasting pink interior give it a bold, almost sculptural appearance. Because there is a chip on the upper rim, I would recommend this piece primarily for decorative use rather than as drinkware. It would make a lovely vessel for flowers, brushes, pencils, kitchen utensils or other small objects.

The tall vase is in good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use.
