Vintage Yardley old English lavender talc powder
Vintage Yardley Old English Lavender Talc Powder Tin – England
Charming vintage Yardley Old English Lavender Talc Powder tin with its original shaker top and beautifully aged printed design.
The front features the classic Yardley Old English Lavender branding with an illustrated period scene, while the reverse still carries the original product information. The tin was made for Yardley at 33 Old Bond Street, London, England, and was described on the packaging as a toilet powder for nursery and general use. The original text also promotes it for use in hot climates to help prevent prickly heat, chafing and skin irritation – a wonderful glimpse into the advertising and everyday beauty routines of its time.
The oval metal container has a removable top with a perforated shaker and lovely decorative detailing around the upper edge. Its naturally worn cream, gold and muted tones give it wonderful authentic vintage character.
A beautiful collectible for a vintage vanity, dressing table, bathroom or bedroom, and a lovely styling or photography prop.
This listing is for the empty vintage talc powder tin only.
Good vintage condition considering its age, with visible wear, scratches, discoloration, patina and small areas of oxidation to the metal and printed surface. The original graphics and lettering remain beautifully visible.
